Fort Lauderdale
We finally visited a new city in Florida when stopping here. In addition to checking out Las Olas Boulevard and the Funky Buddha Brewery, we did a few other things. First we checked into the Aqua Hotel.
This place was perfect! It was right near the beach and next to all the fancy hotels, but at a much cheaper price. It had really nice pools as well and the rooms were small but that was all we needed. We did some exploring by looking around the beach.
Then we went to the rooftop bar at the W. It was a great view of the beach, however it was very windy when we were up there and then started raining! So we did not stay for long and had to run back to the hotel to get out of the rain. Since that ruined some plans, we decided to go the Galleria mall and shopped there for a bit.
After the mall, we went to Tacocraft for dinner. this is a trendy Mexican restaurant downtown. It definitely had a similar feel to Tijuana Flats. However the menu was way better! We went on Taco Tuesday so tacos were $2 so we each got 2 and some nachos. The flavors of the tacos were great, the chicken had avocado and cotija cheese and the pork had verde salsa and pineapple.
