Nothing dampers a day in Florida like rain and unfortunately that is a common occurrence here! Luckily, there are plenty of indoor activities in Orlando to experience on rainy days, too-hot days, or just days when you rather be inside.

I have compiled over thirty ideas in and around Orlando that will keep you busy inside for at least a few hours.

Most of these indoor activities are in Orlando and if not, they are within an hour-long drive. I have broken it up into active, educational, unique, kid-friendly, and foodie things to do that will liven up a rainy day.

You may have to book a lesson in advance, but if a rainy weekend is coming up, it can be the perfect place to splurge on a unique, indoor activity like this.

Know Before You Go: Orlando Indoor Attractions

I hope this guide helped you find some new and exciting indoor activities in Orlando! This city has a little something for everyone and personally, I have never been bored while here.

Whether you are a local or visiting, here are some things to keep in mind when looking for indoor things to do on a rainy day in Orlando.

  • Rainy days are frequent between June through October in Orlando. It is good to have some backup plans in case your outdoor activities get canceled due to inclement weather!
  • I also recommend these indoor activities for when the weather is too hot in Orlando! If you are tired of dealing with the heat, all these ideas have plenty of air conditioning.
  • If you are looking to visit any of the theme parks, make sure to look for Florida Resident deals! Kelly, this blog’s trusted travel agent, can help you find the best rates!
  • You will have to pay for parking in the city and near tourist locations. Pretty much most places in Downtown Orlando and on I-Drive have a small parking cost. If you are concerned, look it up ahead of time or take an Uber.
  • Avoid I-4 during rush hour as much as possible. This is where there is the worst traffic! Traffic in the city is bad all around between 4 PM to 7 PM most days though.
  • If you want a place to grab a meal after experiencing one of these attractions, check out my complete Orlando restaurant guide.
