SUP Yoga

blogger image 448281094Just did SUP yoga for the first time and I am so glad they got some GoPro pictures of it! It was an amazing relaxing class and I am dying to buy a paddleboard now. The most exciting thing was that I was able to bridge pose without falling in, as you can see above.

We paddled out to a little cove and anchored there. It was difficult to get your anchor to stay in place, but I eventually got mine in. The only bad thing about this spot was the sun was right in my eyes, but it did make for great pictures! We started out doing simple breathing and moved on to sun salutations.

I managed not to fall in at all though which was good since the lagoon water is not as nice as it looks. Chatarunga was surprisingly not as bad. I did have a hard time doing downward dog, it was definitely modified for me to do while staying on the board.blogger image 2023537867

At the end of the class we did savasana, the final resting pose, and it was amazingly tranquil. Floating on top of the water while the sun set, I felt so relaxed and wished I could do this kind of yoga every day. I loved putting my hands in the water and feeling a part of nature. After finishing the class, I knew I would have to do SUP yoga again. I felt very peaceful paddling back and can’t wait for the next chance I get to do this.
