The Boathouse Orlando

While my parents were here we all decided to go to the beautiful Boathouse restaurant in Downtown Disney. This place was everything I expected and more!

I was dressed for the occasion in my nautical flag Vineyard Vines shorts, as well as my KJP pearl bracelet, which also happens to be sold in the store. And behind me is a classic car that is actually a boat. These adorable things drive all over the lake.

We took advantage of the dockside seating, though it was hard to choose! Inside they have many themed dining rooms and some boothes that are in a boat! But the weather was too nice not to take advantage of it.

This restaurant has everything, but is most known for surf and turf. I got the grouper, which was over a corn and leek fondue. I’m not sure how the sauce qualifies as a fondue but it was delicious nonetheless! Andrew and my dad split the porterhouse for two and found it and the roasted potatoes delightful. Nancy had the filet sliders, but would not recommend them as they were very dry. She loved her (gigantic) side of Mac and Cheese and I was glad to help her have some. My mom got the shrimp and grits which was another great choice.

We had such a great dinner watching the sun go down and after looked at all the amazing boats that this place has a collection of. We had already planned on ghiradellis for dessert but The Boathouse’s baked Alaska did look tempting! I might have to get it next time, and we will definitely be back.
