The 12 Best Orlando ResortPass Hotels to Spend the Day At

There is nothing more relaxing than a day spent lounging at a resort pool. I used to relish these days on vacation, but recently I found out that I can enjoy them in my own city without staying the night! Anyone can book a day pass at a variety of hotels with an Orlando ResortPass for as little as $15!

ResortPass is an app and website that allows you to spend a day at a hotel using the pool and any other amenities specified. You pay a per-person fee, usually around $30, and can spend a full day at a resort, without booking a room! With so many amazing hotels in Orlando, I wanted to break down which ones are best for ResortPass based on amenities, value, and location.

The Top 3 Orlando ResortPass Hotels

These first three ResortPass options are the absolute best of the best in Orlando. I have stayed at all of them and could spend a week at the hotel alone! There is definitely more than enough to do in a day. These ResortPass options can be more expensive than some of the other Orlando resorts, but if you are looking for lots of activities and a big pool, these are my top recommendations.

1. Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress

• Daily Rate: $25-$40
• Amenities: Pool, Hot Tubs, Water Slide, Splash Pad, Water Sports, Bicycles, Mini-Golf, Sports Courts
• Parking Cost: $25

My favorite Orlando hotel is easily the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, so this first one is a no-brainer. This Orlando resort sits on a 21-acre lake surrounded by lush trees. The pool area is huge with so much room to spread out and relax on the deck or beach. There are even hammocks!

While spending the day here you can enjoy swimming, paddling, sailing, mini-golf, and more all included with the day pass. The main downsides are that the pool is not heated and parking costs $25. However, if it’s a hot day, this is the ideal place to cool off. It’s only a five-minute drive from Disney Springs, so you can end your fun day with dinner at one of the excellent restaurants there afterward. 

2. Omni Orlando

• Daily Rate: $40-$50
• Amenities: Multiple Pools, Huge Lazy River, Wave Pool, Water Slides, Hot Tubs, Mini-Golf, Sports Courts
• Parking Cost: Free!

One of the most expensive Orlando ResortPass options on this list is the Omni Orlando, but it’s almost a water park, so it can be worth it. Located just south of Disney World, this is another large resort complex that is a getaway in itself. There are multiple pools, including one for adults-only, slides, and a wave pool!

The wave pool and the lazy river are the biggest perks, as both rival that of a water park. The slides are more aimed at children, as is a lot of the pool area. This option is ideal for families that want to swim a lot, but adults can find it relaxing as well.

The only con is that the pools are not heated, but again you often do not need that in Florida. Though the price is higher than others, there is free parking, so you might make out cheaper in the end with a small group!

3. Hilton Orlando

• Daily Rate: $20-$35
• Amenities: Heated Pools, Lazy River, Water Slide, Hot Tubs, Splash Pad, Sports Courts
• Parking Cost: $25

Another Orlando resort I absolutely love is the Hilton Orlando. I recently stayed there and enjoyed their ESCAPE scavenger hunt game, as well as the pool area. This large resort has everything you need with multiple heated pools, a slide, and hot tubs.

This resort also has a lazy river, although it is a bit smaller than the Omni and could use some more tubes. Though The Hilton Orlando has plenty for kids with a slide and splash pad, I found the pool area to also be fun for adults with a DJ and waiters serving drinks. The only downside here is having to pay for parking, but it puts you very close to the Orlando theme parks and all the other fun attractions in this area.

Affordable ResortPass Hotels in Orlando

This next section looks at some of the more affordable ResortPass options in Orlando. These offer fewer amenities than the options mentioned above but are cheaper and sell out less frequently. If you want to feel like you are on vacation, but stay within budget, here are some excellent resorts to choose from.

4. Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Resort

• Daily Rate: $10-$20 per adult (Kids are free!)
• Amenities: Pools, Water Slide, Hot Tubs, Lawn Games, Sports Courts
• Parking Cost: Free!

For a no-frills ResortPass day, the Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista is the cheapest option, especially for families. Kids get in free and it is often only $10 for adults! For this cheap price, you can enjoy the pools, slides, and hot tubs all day.

The pools are not heated and the water slide is not anything too exciting, but it is still a gorgeous place to spend the day. There is frequently a DJ playing music and lots of kids running around so it is not the most relaxing option, but definitely a fun one!

5. Element Orlando International Drive

• Daily Rate: $20
• Amenities: Heated Saltwater Pool, Splash Pad, Bike Rentals
• Parking Cost: Free!

Another nice I-Drive hotel to get a ResortPass for is the Element/Aloft. These are boutique hotels with a simple and quiet pool. This hotel also has a splash pad but is definitely more aimed at adults.

A day pass here will also get you access to bike rentals, which you can use to explore the area for lunch. Or you can bring your own food and drink in, as this hotel is one of the few that openly allow it. Though there is not a ton to do, most reviewers say it is a relaxing place to spend a day.

6. CoCo Key Hotel and Water Park Resort

• Daily Rate: $25-$40
• Amenities: Pool, Water Slides, Splash Pad,
• Parking Cost: $10

The closest option to a water park on this list is CoCo Key Hotel. It has fourteen slides and a big splash play area. However, it is much more aimed at younger kids than teens and adults. Getting a ResortPass here is ideal for families with young children that like small slides and splash areas.

A visit here will keep the kids occupied all day and there is a poolside restaurant to get lunch from. Keep in mind, that the pool is not heated and you do have to pay for parking. However, families can visit this hotel much cheaper than they could go to Typhoon Lagoon or Volcano Bay and it has a very similar lineup for young kids.

City ResortPass Hotels Near Orlando

If you are looking to take a day trip, there are a variety of ResortPass options just outside Orlando. These three options have more of a city vibe that is great for adults. Though they are near the beach, none are beachfront. I

7. Fenway Hotel, Autograph Collection

• Daily Rate: $20-$40
• Amenities: Heated Pool, Reserved Chair
• Parking Cost: Free!

One of my personal favorite Tampa Bay area resorts is The Fenway over in Dunedin. Though it will be hard not to want to stay the night, spending the day away from Orlando with a ResortPass is hard to beat. The pool area is lovely and it’s within walking or biking distance of adorable Downtown Dunedin.

While using a day pass at the Fenway, I highly recommend getting a meal or drink from the HEW Parlor & Chophouse. The food here is amazing and way better than your average hotel restaurant. They offer brunch or lunch options for around $40 per person which includes food and drinks. You might actually save money with this package and get to enjoy a delicious meal in the sun!

8. Hilton Tampa Downtown

• Daily Rate: $12-$17
• Amenities: Heated Pool, Hot Tub, Fitness Center
• Parking Cost: $25

The Hilton Tampa Downtown offers guests a day by the pool with excellent rooftop views. This is a luxurious resort to relax at for less than $20 per person! There is a pool bar and plenty of seats in the sun and shade for a poolside day.

This hotel is only a mile from Armature Works, so you can shower and scooter there afterward to have drinks and food at one of the best food halls in Florida! Tampa is one of my favorite cities and with so many great restaurants and bars here, a ResortPass is an ideal escape.

9. Hyatt Regency Sarasota

• Daily Rate: $30-$45
• Amenities: Heated Pool, Hot Tub, Kayak, and Paddleboard Rentals
• Parking Cost: $10

If you don’t mind the two-hour drive from Orlando, a day pass at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota is an excellent change of scenery. This resort is located right on the bay and paddleboard or kayak rentals are included in your visit! This is in addition to the heated pool, hot tub, and large lounge area.

We spent the weekend here once and barely left the pool area because it was so nice. With the waterfall and views of the water, this will transport you to vacation mode. It’s also only ten minutes from the beach and within walking distance to so many amazing Sarasota restaurants downtown.

Beach ResortPass Hotels Near Orlando

One thing Orlando locals are often missing is a beach day! Whether you live here or are on a Disney vacation, a day at the beach can be an instant stress relief. These last ResortPass options are within an hour and a half drive of Orlando and offer beach access in addition to pools and hot tubs. Though they are a little pricier, you still get all of the perks of a beach resort for less than spending the night there!

10. Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach

• Daily Rate: $40-$60
• Amenities: Pool, Splash Pad, Hot Tub, Beach Access
• Parking Cost: $15

There are a variety of day pass options in Daytona Beach, which is less than an hour and a half from Orlando. All the reviews point to the Hard Rock Hotel being the best option here with its two pools right by the beach. Neither are heated, but one is shaped like a guitar and has underwater speakers!

Along with the pools, you can enjoy the beach, hot tub, and pool bar all day. The one complaint many have is that you get a wristband upon entry, but it does not open the beach access gate, so you often have to wave something over to let you in. If that inconvenience is an issue for you, you may wish to look elsewhere, but quality-wise, this is the best Daytona Beach ResortPass hotel.

11. Beachside Hotel and Suites

• Daily Rate: $40-$60
• Amenities: Heated Pool, Splash Pad, Hot Tub, Beach Access
• Parking Cost: Free!

Being the closest beach to Orlando, a day spent at the Beachside Hotel in Cocoa Beach is convenient and fun. This resort is one of the few on the beach with a lazy river, in addition to the heated pool and splash pad for kids. You can spend the day going back and forth between the pool and beach while enjoying food and drinks from the bar!

This is one of the cheapest beach options close to Orlando, especially with parking being free. It is also in a great location, as it is right next door to Lighthouse Cove Mini Golf and Ron Jon Surf Shop. Getting a ResortPass here puts you in the prime location for a full day at Cocoa Beach.

12. The Don CeSar

• Daily Rate: $75-$95
• Amenities: Heated Pools, Indoor Jacuzzi, Beach Access
• Parking Cost: $25

Last but certainly not least is the crown gem of ResortPass hotels. The Don Cesar is known to be one of Florida’s most opulent hotels, beautifully situated on St. Pete Beach.

A night here can often cost $800 and I know I will probably never dole out that kind of money for a hotel stay! However, you can get a taste of luxury with a ResortPass here and spend the day at the pool and beach. It is the most expensive option on this list, with a starting rate of $75, but the atmosphere is unlike any other.

A day pass at the Don Cesar includes access to two pristine, heated pools with plush poolside chaise lounges and access to the indoor hot tub and beach. Chairs and umbrellas on the beach cost extra, as does parking. It’s definitely a splurge, but if you have the urge to treat yourself, this iconic, pink palace is the way to go!

Know Before You Go: The Best Orlando ResortPass Hotels

Whether you are a local looking for a day-cation or from out of town and less than impressed with your accommodation’s pool, booking a ResortPass is the perfect way to get your pool day fix. There are over thirty Orlando ResortPass hotel options offering everything from family fun to a lavish atmosphere. I think these twelve options are the best to consider, but they often sell out, so be sure to book early! Here are some other things to keep in mind before booking a ResortPass.

• Rates vary depending on season and demand. Expect daily rates to be higher on weekends and days during the holidays and springs break.
• All daily rates cited here are the ranges for one adult. Kids get in cheaper at many Orlando ResortPass options.
• Hotels often offer a cabana ResortPass that admits four or more people and includes a cabana with shade, comfier chairs and often a TV and mini fridge. Occasionally this is a similar price as per person if you are going with a group, so check for that option when booking!
• If you plan to dine by the pool, the prices tend to be more expensive. Some hotels offer an all-inclusive food option where the daily rate includes a meal and a drink. Check the menu prices ahead of time to see if this is a deal!
• Most hotels will refund you if you cancel the night before your ResortPass date. However, be sure to read the cancellation policy before booking if you are worried about your date.
