Intracoastal Brewing Company
Intracoastal Brewing Company is arguably the best Space Coast brewery. I can’t decide whether it or Playalinda Brewing Company is, but we do come to this brewery a lot more so that might being saying something. What I love most about it is the rotating list of unique beers and the lively outdoor area. Not only do they have weekly community events, like yoga and a fun run, but they also have a delicious on-site food truck!
Events at Intracoastal Brewing Company
We come here at least every other week either to catch up with friends or enjoy one of their many festivals. They had a Bacon Beer Bash this past June which was a blast. They featured five different bacon flavored beers! The pepper bacon was the most delicious in my opinion, but all the options were tasty.
They also host the Rocky Water Brew Festival, music festivals and holiday parties, including the popular St. Mayo Day (a mash up of St. Patrick’s Day and Cinco de Mayo)
Intracoastal’s Beer
Intracoastal Brewing Company recently starting canning their beer so hopefully it will be distributed around the state soon. On this particular night we enjoyed one of our summer favorites of theirs which is also available in cans. The Lost Shaker is a gose style beer that tastes like a margarita. We love the sour lime flavor! We have also been loving the Coastal Series #30, an IPA with a mild hops.
They tend to have at least 10 different types on tap, so there is a beer for everyone here, including so many unheard of types like the Peanut Butter Jelly Time they had recently. One of the reasons we come here so much is so we don’t miss out on one of their awesome brews before the keg runs out!
Here are a few of my favorites through the years:
- Watermelon Summer – Fruit Beer, 5.7%
- Lemongrass Ginger Saison – Saison/Farmhouse, 5.6%
- Prickly Pear Gose – Sour, 4.5%
- Pink Lemonade – Sour Berliner Weisse, 4.5%
- Summer Sessions IPA – IPA, 4.5%
- Cinnamon Toast Crunch – Amber, 8.1%
Coastal Kitchens Food Truck
We have also had many delicious experiences getting food from Intruck Coastal Bites. This food truck is always on-site and serves Peruvian food. It is rare to see ceviche being served out of a food truck, but they do a great job of that here. We recently had the fish ceviche, which has a satisfying citrus marinade along with peppers, sweet potatoes and corn.
We also tried the Shakka sliders with caramelized pineapple on top and a side of yucca fries. Both dishes were a tasty representation of Peruvian food and had us wanting much more. You can easily have a meal while you are here or just get a little snack of yucca fries or skewers to go with your beer.Intracoastal Brewing Company is a Melbourne, Florida staple and we have loved seeing them expand throughout the years. If you are interested to learn more about the brewery, the Podcast What Ales Ya had an engaging interview with the founder that you can listen to here. The best way to find out more about them is to come visit and try a few brews! They are right by the water and a perfect place to be on a Florida day.
