The 15 Best Beaches in Florida for a Bachelorette Party
Florida is known to be an amazing vacation destination for all, but I think it’s especially good for bachelorette parties. It’s a quick and easy flight from most parts of the US and more affordable than traveling internationally. With this blog post, I have narrowed down the best beaches in Florida for a bachelorette party!
This list has both party-centric beach destinations and more relaxing beach destinations. I have also included some more unique nature and water (but not necessarily beach) locales. Regardless of budget or type of experience you want, this guide has all the best beaches in Florida for a bachelorette party!
Beaches in Florida for an All-Out Bachelorette Party
I am starting off this post with classic party spots for a wild Florida bachelorette party on the beach. These locations have plenty of bars, clubs, and parties that are sure to deliver an unforgettable experience. If you want a typical Florida beach bachelorette party, these first four options are for you!
1. Miami Beach
The best place for a Florida beach bachelorette party is Miami and for good reason! South Beach is a party destination where you can dance the night away just steps from the beach. There are tons of glamorous resorts right on the water that offer pool parties, bottle service, and more.
For a splurge, stay on the Miami Beach strip at please like the Kimpton Surfcomber or Loews Miami Beach. If you want to save a little, consider racking up Hyatt Points with a Chase Sapphire Preferred Card and staying at a Hyatt hotel like the Hyatt Centric South Beach or The Confidante. The Freehand Hotel also has more affordable rates as well.
All of these options will put you in the perfect location for dining at world-class restaurants like MILA Restaurant and Sexy Fish and partying to live music at LIV or E11EVEN. If your hotel is not on the beach, consider getting a ResortPass to spend the day at a pool and take a boat tour for epic ocean views.
2. Key West
Another popular choice for a Florida beach bachelorette party is Key West. However, many get there and realize the beach is not all it is cracked up to be. I would not let this deter you though, as you can always drive to Bahia Honda State Park for an incredible beach day.
I recommend staying at a boutique hotel or bed and breakfast near Duval Street. This way you can be within walking distance of lively bars like Green Parrot and The Garden of Eden. While you are here, I also recommend going to a pool party at Dante’s, taking a sunset cruise, and visiting the Hemingway House (especially if you like cats!). For those brides wanting an island getaway, Key West is one of the best options in the United States!
3. St. Augustine
An oft-overlooked destination for a Florida bachelorette party is St Augustine. In my opinion, this area has the best of both worlds, with both beaches and bar hopping. All this is often cheaper than South Florida (except during the holidays), so definitely look for a North Florida locale.
You will want to stay in the historic section for easy access to bars and restaurants, however, the beach is just a fifteen-minute drive away. Fun things to do for a St. Augustine bachelorette party include a ghost tour, a sunset dolphin cruise, and a foodie tour of the town. With so much to do, eat and drink, St. Augustine is at the top of my list for bachelorette party options.
4. Fort Lauderdale
Another one of my favorite beaches in Florida for a bachelorette party is Fort Lauderdale. I find it to be less crowded and pricey than Miami, but no less fun. Here you can stay steps from the beach and scenic canals while being within walking distance of nightlife.
For those who want to be near the action, stay on the beach at hotels like B Ocean or The Westin. However, you can also find plenty of Airbnb options or stay at the Hyatt Centric Las Olas to be a few blocks away from the main scene. While visiting, try some unique experiences like seeing a mermaid boylesque show, taking a paddleboard tour with a corgi, and bar hopping on Las Olas. This destination has everything you need for a last hurrah with the gals!
Relaxing Florida Bachelorette Party Ideas
These next four options are the beaches in Florida I recommend for a more relaxing bachelorette party. You can still find nightlife, but it is not as prevalent as in other spots and is easily avoidable. For these destinations, expect to be relaxing by the ocean or pool, drink in hand, and enjoying the views with your BFFs!
5. Clearwater Beach
Easily one of the best beaches in Florida, Clearwater Beach is perfect for a tranquil bachelorette party. You can stay at a resort right on the water like The Hyatt Regency or Pier House 60 and enjoy the weather at all hours of the day. Between the calm water, beachfront hotels, and a plethora of nearby tiki bars, this is the getaway that most picture when going to Florida.
The main thing to do here is to spend time at the beach, but I also recommend going for a dolphin-watching tour or trying parasailing. In the evening, Pier 60 is the spot to watch the sunset and you can see it come alive with street performers and music. If you have time, check out Tarpon Springs or Historic Ybor City for a fun bar crawl as well.
6. Cocoa Beach
Another gorgeous beach for a bachelorette party is Cocoa Beach. Located on the east coast, this destination is usually cheaper than the gulf coast without skimping on fun. There are plenty of Airbnbs with pools to rent out, or you can stay right on the beach at the Hilton Oceanfront or the Four Points Sheraton. While here, consider trying a surfing lesson, going for a sunset sail, or taking a bioluminescent paddleboard tour one night!
Cocoa Beach has a variety of restaurants and bars perfect for bachelorette parties. Some of my favorites include Tropics, Alibi, Coconuts on the Beach, and Nolan’s Irish Pub. You can even go to Heidi’s Jazz Club for a more upscale evening. You can’t go wrong with the beaches anywhere along the Space Coast, but I find Cocoa Beach to be the best for bachelorette parties.
7. Palm Beach
For glamourous brides that want a bachelorette party like something out of Gossip Girl, Palm Beach is one of the best Florida beaches for it. Here, you can stay at five-star resorts like The Breakers and get the most luxurious spa treatments imaginable. However, there is also fun to be had here while keeping things affordable.
Beachfront hotels like The Colony or Palm Beach Historic Inn put you in the center of the area with easy access to checking out what the city has to offer. Options include a round at world-renowned golf courses, a visit to a botanical garden, or shopping on Worth Avenue. Be sure to try the local cuisine with Downtown Palm Beach having many options, including Grandview Public Market and The Hive.
8. Siesta Key
An additional destination for a bachelorette party that wants to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Florida is Siesta Key. The soft, white sand and turquoise waters are a huge draw alongside a quirky downtown area. Get an Airbnb, condo rental, or hotel room right on the beach here for chill beach days and incredible sunsets.
While in Siesta Key, don’t miss your chance to try kayaking or taking a pontoon boat through the stunning waters. You can also have an upscale meal at Ophelia’s on the Bay or check out the dive bar scene on Ocean Boulevard. Nearby Sarasota makes for a great place for a day trip with visits to the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens or the Ringling Museum. For a mix of beach and culture, Siesta Key has it all!
Nature-Focused Florida Bachelorette Party Destinations
This section of the list is a bit different, as these options offer a nature-focused bachelorette party. For brides less into the beach and more into taking an adventure, these Florida towns are worth considering. It would not be your typical beach bachelorette party, but it will surely be memorable.
9. Naples
For a South Florida getaway with so much more than the beach, I love visiting Naples. This coastal town is a haven for those who love sea life, hiking, and more. And the beach is not too shabby either!
Stay at a waterfront hotel like the Hyatt House Naples or the Naples Grande and make sure you book a boat trip. It’s almost guaranteed you see dolphins! Then take a day trip to the nearby Everglades for hiking or paddling through this diverse ecosystem and looking for birds, gators, and more! Lastly, consider making your dreams come true at The Naples Zoo and feeding giraffes for the ultimate bachelorette party photo-op!
10. High Springs
Though not a tropical Florida spot, the freshwater springs make for an unbelievable bachelorette party experience. Just outside of Gainesville, there are a variety of springs perfect for swimming, float trips, kayaking, snorkeling, and more.
Which spring you visit depends on the time of year you visit and what kind of experience you are envisioning. For a float trip, head to Ginnie Springs or Ichetucknee in the summer. Gilchrist Blue Springs offers a more chill swimming or paddling experience, however, they all work for paddleboarding or kayaking year-round.
You can also choose between staying in an Airbnb close to the springs or staying in a hotel in Gainesville and making the springs a day trip. The Gainesville options allow for some bar hopping, whereas staying in High Springs is lower-key. Though not a beach, the freshwater springs of High Springs offer a unique Florida bachelorette party destination!
11. Crystal River
If you know a bride that loves manatees, Crystal River is an incredible choice for a Florida bachelorette party! Go in the winter and you can book a manatee sightseeing excursion. Expect to see hundreds and choose between options like swimming with them or kayaking!
This is a rural part of Florida, so do not expect nightlife. However, you can get an affordable Airbnb and make your own party! In the daytime, head to Fort Island Beach for a beach day or Rainbow Springs for another rare nature opportunity. This bachelorette party is just the way to find relaxation and fun on a budget.
12. Key Largo
For the adventurous bride, a scuba diving or snorkeling bachelorette party can’t be beat! My pick for where to go would be Key Largo, as you can easily get there from the Miami airport. Between exploring the wrecks and reefs right off the coast and being on the water, this is an ideal trip for bridesmaids that rather be mermaids!
The number one thing to do is to plan a snorkel or scuba excursion at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. However, you can also take a drive to the Everglades or to the Turtle Hospital on Marathon Key. Whether you stay in an Airbnb or a hotel like Dove Creek Resort, you are never far from the ocean on a Key Largo Bachelorette trip.
Unique Florida Bachelorette Party Locations
To end this blog post, I want to suggest three more unique Florida bachelorette party destinations. These are not exactly beachfront, but still offer the tropical vibes most brides are looking for. Whether you want a quiet getaway or an all-out party weekend, these last four locales have it all.
13. Disney World
For the young-at-heart Disney World can be a magical bachelorette party destination. If you love rides, shows, and even a bit of partying, do not hesitate to consider Disney World. You can do a typical theme park trip where rides are the priority or make it more low-key and take in all the fantastical areas of Disney World.
To keep with the bachelorette party vibes, stay at one of these Disney hotels that I recommend for adults. My top choices would be Port Orleans or the Swan and Dolphin. Then be sure to plan some time for drinking around the world in Epcot, dining at Disney Springs, and seeing the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. Being a vacation destination, you can find everything from spa treatments to mini golf courses to make it the perfect bachelorette party.
14. Universal Orlando Resort
Not to be overlooked, Universal Orlando also offers an exciting theme park-centric bachelorette party. I find it cheaper and more thrilling than Disney World. You can stay at an onsite hotel within walking distance of the theme parks like Sapphire Falls and Portofino Bay and enjoy the nightlife at CityWalk.
If you are missing the beach, Volcano Bay is a water park like no other that rivals a beach day. Between the huge wave pool and lazy rivers and exciting slides, this is a must-do on hot days. You can also relax at the Mandara Spa and spend time in the Harry Potter world casting spells.
15. Cruise to the Bahamas
I saved my favorite bachelorette party option for the end, as it is technically not a beach vacation! For my own party, my bridesmaids and I took a 3-night cruise to the Bahamas. When you factor in food and activities, it was a lot cheaper than many on-land options!
Most of the cruise lines operate their smaller boats for short cruises like this, so do not expect the crème de la crème of cruising. However, you get to go to Nassau and party it up on the beach, as well as relax in a hammock on a private island! Between the beaches and exciting onboard activities, I highly recommend a bachelorette cruise. It is especially convenient when all the guests are based in Florida and no flights are involved!
Know Before You Go: The Best Beaches in Florida for a Bachelorette Party
When it comes to planning a bachelorette party, Florida is one of the best states to do it! With so many miles of sandy shores, most destinations offer picturesque backgrounds alongside top-notch dining. I hope this blog post helped you figure out where to go for the best cities and beaches in Florida for a bachelorette party. Here are some tips to keep in mind while planning your trip:
- The best time of year to visit Florida is November through May. The summer and fall can be so hot and humid, especially in August and September.
- Hurricane season typically has its highest risks from August through October so try and avoid planning a trip then on the off chance a storm comes and causes a cancellation!
- If you want to save money traveling, check out my guide on how to get free hotel rooms with a Chase travel rewards credit card!
- With most locations, I recommend renting a car. There is not much reliable public transportation in Florida and Ubers can get pricey.
